Energy saving in Above Ambient Oilfield Industrial Applications
In the early 1970s, industrial plants started using insulation in hot applications to conserve energy generated from processes. Though this solution was effective for a while, soon after the use of traditional insulation products increased - which then caused new problems such as corrosion under insulation (CUI). When insulation absorbs water, it produces an environment that encourages CUI; which leads to severely degrading assets and a possible risk of containment failure. Not only does it become expensive because of these risks - but there are also serious safety concerns associated with wet insulation that renders its ability to insulate significantly reduced.
Here Solution-Resist water and corrosion both
Sino-Aerogel insulation blankets are designed to resist water and corrosion, so there's no need to worry about overheating or deterioration. You can trust us for quality performance, so you don't have to worry about making another investment anytime soon. It may sound expensive at first, but you'll save more money in the long run, since conventional solutions needlessly waste resources that could go elsewhere.
Applied Product
Sino-Aerogel SA450T Thermal Insulation Material Blanket
Working Environment
- Pipeline diameter: 1.14 meters.
- Pipeline length: 10 kilometers.
- Internal fluid temperature: 328 ℃.
- Average wind speed: 1 m/s.
Construction Difficulties
- The pipe supports must be treated to block thermal bridges, thereby further reducing heat loss.
- Water-resistance must be optimized.
- Most of the pipelines are shuttled through the reeds, making maintenance difficult.
Installation Method
3 layers of SA450T Thermal Insulation Blanket (10mm), Aluminum foil combine on one side, tightly wound with glass fiber cloth
Achievements
The heat loss of the pipeline is reduced by 57.2%, and the overall winding structure is more solid, uniform, and beautiful after the reform.
Our product provides an excellent thermal barrier due to the three layers wrapped around and separated by 10 mm thickness. Not only is it able to control temperatures on exterior surfaces, but also has a sturdy build. It also works well for insulating other metal structures because we offer different formats that are more pliable than traditionally rigid materials - which means no matter what kind of treatment you want, our product will work great!
